Brandon Fields’ new play ‘In the Mourning’ explores grief in Black community

Opening evening has arrived for Brandon Fields, the native playwright identified for addressing heavy subjects within the Black group through the stage. 

This weekend he’s again with a brand new providing titled, “Within the Mourning,” which addresses grief within the Black group. 

The play “Within the Mourning,” opens 7 p.m. Dec. 6 on the Chesapeake Arts Middle, with extra showings on Saturday, Dec. 7. The play, “Within the Mourning,” will open Wednesday Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., with extra showings on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. and a couple of p.m. All showings will happen on the Chesapeake Arts Middle positioned at 194 Hammonds Lane in Brooklyn Park.
