Bodycam Footage Shows Georgia Cops Arrest Black Amazon Driver Even Though He Told Them White Homeowner Jumped Into Back of Truck, Took Packages

Bodycam footage that just lately surfaced on social media exhibiting the arrest of a Black Amazon driver is stirring controversy on-line.

The video reveals a December 2023 encounter within the Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek, Georgia, between an officer and the supply driver after police had been referred to as to a residential neighborhood over a dispute that broke out between a number of individuals.

In the beginning of the footage, viewers can see a Johns Creek police officer working towards a gaggle of house owners and the driving force arguing in the course of a cul-de-sac.

“She bumped into my f***ing truck! I’m making an attempt to do my job! That’s what the f*** I’m making an attempt to do,” the driving force furiously shouts, visibly angered by how the encounter is enjoying out.

The clip cuts to the driving force explaining to the cop that he tried to drop a package deal off on a entrance porch and take an image, however a feminine house owner refused to permit him to make the supply correctly, so he drove off along with her parcels.

The driving force mentioned that when he started to drive away, the house owner ran towards his truck and acquired into his automobile, grabbed packages, after which walked off.

The altercation started when the driving force tried to cease the lady after which escalated when a person who seemed to be the lady’s husband acquired concerned.

“Did you place arms on her?” the officer asks.

“No, I didn’t put arms on her! However her husband put arms on me, I don’t see him in cuffs!” the driving force shouts again.

A second video reveals extra police on the scene and the still-handcuffed driver explaining what occurred.

Bodycam footage then reveals them taking the driving force into custody and explaining why he’s being arrested.

“I get that (the male house owner) acquired in your face and all the pieces, OK, man? However the issue is all of his stuff is reacting to you appearing the way in which you probably did to his spouse,” the officer states.

“I’m reacting-” the driving force begins.

“To her leaping within the van,” the officer finishes. “I get that, man.”

“I’m the one doing my job; I’m the one who drove away from her; y’all neglect that,” the driving force states.

“You drove away at first, however you got here again, man,” the officer responds.

“She took packages she wasn’t licensed to get,” the driving force factors out.

“Why didn’t you simply name your supervisor, man?” the officer asks.

Most viewers had been angered on the police response to the encounter and challenged the cops’ determination to arrest the driving force.

“I undoubtedly really feel his frustration 100%,” one TikTok consumer wrote of the driving force.

“100000% it’s because he’s a ‘scary black man,’” a Reddit consumer commented.

Some individuals thought that if the driving force had responded to the state of affairs calmly, the police encounter would have ended otherwise.
