Black Mom Saves Family, Jumps From Third Floor During House Fire

Nationwide — Angela Coleman, an African American mom from Wayne County, North Carolina, survived a devastating house hearth after saving her youngsters and 5-year-old granddaughter. She jumped from a third-floor window, struggling severe accidents however conserving her household alive.

“It was simply that quick, inside seconds. It was so scary,” Coleman instructed CBS17.

The hearth broke out at Adair Residences within the Rosewood neighborhood close to Goldsboro, leaving 50 residents homeless and sending 4 folks to the hospital. Coleman then rushed to wake her son, who ran from his room and dove out of the constructing in panic. That left Coleman and her 5-year-old granddaughter, Jourdyn, trapped because the smoke thickened contained in the house.

Considering shortly, Coleman wrapped towels round their heads to filter the air. She carried Jourdyn to her bed room window, the place neighbors gathered beneath. She held her tightly, then dropped her down, trusting the group to catch her.
