Nationwide –Demetrize Carter, a 44-year-old African American man from Oklahoma Metropolis, Oklahoma, who survived after being shot within the chest by police at a highschool soccer recreation two years in the past, has just lately filed a federal civil rights lawsuit. He claims the capturing was racially motivated and that he was unarmed and never a risk.

Carter was amongst hundreds of spectators at Choctaw Excessive College on August 25, 2023, when gunfire broke out throughout a recreation between Del Metropolis and Choctaw.
