Biden tells graduates of Howard University: US history hasn’t been a ‘fairy tale’

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Could 13 instructed graduates of a number one traditionally Black college that American historical past “has not at all times been a fairy story” and that “racism has lengthy torn us aside.” However on the nation’s greatest days, he mentioned “sufficient of us have the center and the center to face up for one of the best in us.”

Biden spoke after he was awarded an honorary Physician of Letters diploma.
