Beyoncé has dedicated to serving to the hundreds of households affected by the latest Los Angeles wildfires. Over the weekend, the star’s charity basis, BeyGood, launched its LA Fireplace Reduction Fund with an preliminary $2.5 million donation.
“Los Angeles, we stand with you,” the group wrote on Instagram. “The fund is earmarked to help households within the Altadena/Pasadena space who misplaced their properties and to church buildings and neighborhood facilities to deal with the rapid wants of these affected by the wildfires.”
Since Jan. 7, the Los Angeles space has been battling a collection of wildfires which have burned over 30,000 acres of land and displaced hundreds of residents. Although the Los Angeles Fireplace Division has been capable of scale back the variety of lively fires from 5 to 4, they proceed to battle quickly spreading flames of the Palisades, Eaton, Horseshoe, and Hurst fires.

Along with BeyGood’s efforts, different Black-led organizations like WalkGoodLA — based by Etienne Maurice, son of actress Sheryl Lee Ralph —have partnered with AfroPunk, Spill, and others to boost $7 million in assist of Black households within the Altadena and Pasadena areas.
