American Heart Association and NNPA unite for health disparities symposium

The American Coronary heart Affiliation (AHA) partnered with the Nationwide Newspaper Publishers Affiliation (NNPA) to host a dialogue on addressing well being disparities that Black People face and remodeling the way forward for well being of their communities. The symposium additionally highlighted the position of the Black Press in elevating consciousness about cardiovascular well being. Chavis, who has led the NNPA since 2014, spoke on the significance of delivering correct well being data to Black communities, particularly as misinformation and disinformation overruns social media platforms and messaging from the White Home.
