Keke Palmer was honored alongside Pamela Anderson on the Los Angeles LGBT Middle Gala over the weekend. The occasion acknowledged Palmer’s dedication to LBTQA+ activism, bestowing her with the Vanguard Award.
The pandemic has shut the ceremony down for the final 4 years and the occasion was hosted by Ts Madison. In response to The Hollywood Reporter, “The middle holds the standing as the most important nonprofit serving queer and trans communities internationally.”

Palmer, who had her first baby in February, gave an emotional acceptance speech. She cited her emotions of being judged up to now for not feeling as if she was allowed to simply be herself.
She mentioned in her speech, “I’ve all the time been my very own individual, and sexuality and identification, for me, it’s all the time been confusion. I by no means felt straight sufficient; I by no means felt homosexual sufficient; I by no means felt girl sufficient; I by no means felt man sufficient.
