Together with its board chairperson the Hon. Keith Wright, the African American Day Parade Breakfast Committee honored trailblazers and influencers who’ve left a mark on our neighborhood each regionally and globally, which included elected officers, musicians, style designers, and younger students who obtained scholarships. Awardees included KRS-One, Slick Rick, and DJ Purple Alert. Metropolis Councilmember-elect Yusef Salaam was additionally in attendance.
