*The Nobel Prize Committee has spoken: Venezuelan opposition chief and Nobel Peace Prize winner just isn’t permitted to “share” her honor with U.S. Pres. Donald Trump.  For Machado, actions spoke louder than phrases when she met with Pres. Trump on the White Home on January 15.  She gifted the framed medal to him.

Machado had publicly mentioned she want to share her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize with the U.S. chief, praising him for supporting her management in making a democratic society in Venezuela.  In a Fox Information interview, she informed Sean Hannity that her folks need Trump to have the popularity as properly.

“The Venezuelan folks need to give it to him, share it with him,” she mentioned.

However the Norwegian Nobel Institute issued a agency and unusually direct clarification: As soon as awarded, a Nobel Prize “can’t be revoked, shared, or transferred to others.” The committee added that the choice “is remaining and stands forever,” closing the door on any formal try to present Trump co‑laureate standing or switch the award in any symbolic or procedural method.

The ruling underscores an extended‑standing precept of the Nobel Basis:

A Peace Prize belongs solely to the person or group named.
It can’t be reassigned, gifted, or retroactively shared — even on the laureate’s request.

Machado has not withdrawn her reward for Trump, however the Nobel Committee’s assertion makes clear that the prize stays hers alone, no matter political sentiment or diplomatic gratitude.

After the seize of Maduro, consideration on sharing the Nobel Prize resumed with the identical motivation.

Machado’s reward for Trump was tied to different issues:

His intervention in Venezuela,
His assist for the opposition,
And his backing of her management in opposition to Maduro’s regime.

The Nobel Committee’s rejection was merely concerning the guidelines — not her motives.  Their staunch place is a mirrored image of the status related to the glory.
