Civil Rights Pioneer Claudette Colvin Dead At 86

Claudette Colvin, a pioneering determine within the U.S. civil rights motion who first refused to surrender her bus seat, has died . She was 86.

In 1955, when she was 15 years previous, Colvin was arrested in Montgomery, Alabama, for refusing to surrender her seat to a white passenger on a segregated metropolis bus.
