SA mom Noluthando Mkhaliphi seeks help to bring child home

A South African mom Noluthando Mkhaliphi is interesting for pressing assist after her younger daughter was taken out of South Africa by her Congolese father and has not been returned as agreed.

Mkhaliphi’s daughter left South Africa on 17 December 2025, along with her father for what was meant to be a brief vacation.

In response to Mkhaliphi, the journey shaped a part of a post-breakup settlement between the 2 mother and father.

Vacation settlement turns into nightmare for Mkhaliphi

In a viral video, Mkhaliphi mentioned she anticipated her daughter to return house after the temporary vacation.

As an alternative, she obtained a message on 5 January informing her that her ex-boyfriend was now within the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and supposed to maintain the kid for six months.

The message left her devastated and alarmed.

“He texted me saying that they went house (DRC),” she mentioned, including that the sudden change violated their understanding and minimize off her entry to her little one.

Police initially hesitant to behave

Mkhaliphi instantly reported the matter to Ivory Park police, describing it as parental abduction.

She mentioned officers have been initially reluctant to open a case, citing the daddy’s parental rights.
