Black Dad Accuses City Bus Driver of Discrimination Against His Disabled Son

Nationwide — Deshaunte Smith, an African-American father from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, says a metropolis bus driver discriminated in opposition to his son, who’s a wheelchair person, by refusing them service. He shared the encounter on TikTok and is now contemplating authorized motion.

Smith stated he determined to take a Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus one morning when his son, DJ, missed his typical faculty bus. He used Google to trace routes and chosen one that will cease near the varsity.
