Sergio Hudson sets record straight on his comments about celebrity attendance at Black Fashion Week Shows

There’s all the time a second in New York Trend Week when the glamour, robes, and cameras really feel like they create extra questions than solutions. For designer Sergio Hudson, that second got here this season, not due to a lacking hem or a staging mishap, however due to an Instagram Story that raised an uncomfortable query: Why aren’t extra Black “A-list” celebrities supporting Black designers?

Hudson’s unique remarks, which went viral, stirred up many reactions. Some social media customers praised his candor, whereas others questioned if he was unfairly pointing fingers.
