Proposal For Nigeria’s $60B High-Speed Rail Project Submitted

Nigeria is inching nearer to constructing the continent’s first-ever high-speed rail practice, in a proposed $60 billion mission.

On Aug.12, plans for Nigeria’s $60 billion high-speed rail mission had been submitted to the federal government, Newsweek reported. A consortium of native building corporations and builders introduced the proposal to the nation’s secretary to the Authorities of the Federation.

Supported by funding from the China-backed Asian Improvement Funding Financial institution, one of many world’s largest worldwide improvement establishments, the proposed rail line would span 2,500 miles and join 4 main Nigerian cities: Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt.
