Tisha Campbell dishes on her mommy makeover at BET Awards: ‘It’s not for everybody, but it was for me’

Tisha Campbell is preserving it actual about motherhood and the journey of reconnecting and rediscovering your self after having kids. Throughout the 2025 BET Awards, the actress and mom of two celebrated being ““s-s-snatched now,” and opened up about not too long ago present process cosmetic surgery. 

“For many who don’t know, I not too long ago acquired cosmetic surgery,” she informed Leisure Tonight on the BET crimson carpet. “It was a mommy makeover. I had additional pores and skin from the infant and just a little little bit of droppage right here and just a little droppage there, and so they tightened me collectively.”

Campbell is the mom of two sons Xen Whaheed, 23, and Ezekiel Czar, 15, whom she shares along with her ex-husband Duane Martin. And as she navigates being a single mom, she defined that the process was a choice rooted in self-love. 

“I’m a single mother—not prepared for relationship, however I simply wished to really feel good for me and that’s what this was permitting me to have: simply to be ok with me,” she continued.

“I’m an open e book. I simply suppose it’s extra necessary for folks to know why one does it: if you wish to be ok with you,” she stated. “Like I stated, I had a number of additional pores and skin from the infants, and I wished to only be trustworthy about it.”

She continued, “I believe it’s extra necessary to be trustworthy to know that, you realize, I didn’t get all this on my own … I’m not exhibiting it off, but it surely’s good to be just a little bit extra snatched round that space for me. It’s not for everyone, but it surely was for me.”
