Seniors Protest Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ in Leimert Park  – Los Angeles Sentinel

The Rev. Dr. Norman S. Johnson, senior pastor of First New Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, started the press convention by saying, “What’s affected and who’s affected: low-income, working households, single moms, aged people, fastened incomes, folks with disabilities, youngsters in poverty.  

“What we’re saying is that this invoice pushes tens of millions additional into poverty. It will increase starvation, homelessness, and preventable dying. It targets essentially the most susceptible whereas defending the wealth of those that will yield to company pursuits.” 

When requested methods to describe this invoice to those that might not perceive what’s happening, Johnson instructed the L.A. Sentinel, “This invoice was fast-tracked by Congress.
