4th Annual Women Rock Empowerment Summit Celebrates Strength, Sisterhood & Purpose  – Los Angeles Sentinel

The 4th Annual Metropolis of Inglewood Ladies Rock Empowerment Summit, led by Councilwoman Dionne Faulk and Inglewood Metropolis Clerk Aisha Thompson, introduced collectively over 250 ladies for a vibrant, joy-filled day of connection, development, and celebration. Held the week earlier than Mom’s Day, the occasion continues to construct on its legacy of honoring and empowering ladies all through Inglewood and past. 

This yr’s summit featured highly effective appearances by California State Controller Malia M. Cohen, who delivered a well timed and uplifting morning keynote on monetary empowerment and generational wealth. The message struck a chord with attendees, a lot of whom shared how impressed they felt to take possession of their monetary future. 

Members then broke out into data constructing workshops, masking a variety of subjects—from psychological well being and wellness with Dr. Janoc Vance, the significance of publishing with Dr. Gloria Zuurveen, self care via journaling with Erica Bunn, and property planning led by Miriam Wydermyer. Native consultants and leaders poured into the attendees, leaving them geared up and uplifted. 

The afternoon session, was anchored by the incomparable Decide Mablean Ephriam, who introduced knowledge, humor, and a strong, relatable keynote deal with. With grace and candor, she spoke from the center reminding each girl within the room of her power, her voice, and her worth. 

Closing out the occasion was the Pearl Desk Speak, a deeply participating and heartfelt dialog with particular visitor Dr. Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker, the Grammy-nominated rapper, educator, and neighborhood advocate. Yo-Yo’s journey of transformation and objective resonated throughout generations, as she shared classes from her life in leisure and her ongoing mission to empower younger ladies via training and the humanities.
