The Prison Regulation Codification and Reform Modification Invoice, 2022, criminalises anybody caught “willfully injuring the sovereignty and nationwide curiosity of Zimbabwe”, with some offences punishable by demise.

The controversial Invoice was revealed within the Authorities Gazette on 23 December 2022. It was handed by the decrease home of the Nationwide Meeting on 31 Could 2023 and sailed via Senate on 7 June 2023. It now awaits President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s assent.
