Kamala Harris speaks out against Trump: ‘I’m not here to say I told you so’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris spoke out for the primary time publicly in opposition to President Donald Trump and his first few months in workplace on Thursday on the Main Girls Outlined Summit in California.

Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee who misplaced to Trump within the 2024 election final November, briefly addressed the unprecedented actions taken by the Trump administration–like bypassing congressional authority to shut down businesses, chopping funding for packages already permitted, and firing tens of 1000’s of federal employees, together with heads of unbiased businesses.

The previous vice chairman lamented that regardless of Trump’s actions—largely led by Elon Musk, the richest man on the planet and never a federal worker—many have chosen to not condemn Trump publicly.

“We’re seeing organizations keep quiet. We’re seeing those that are capitulating to obviously unconstitutional threats,” Harris mentioned on the summit for Black ladies based by former BET president Debra Lee. “And these are the issues that we’re witnessing every day in these previous couple of months in our nation, and it understandably creates a terrific sense of concern. As a result of, you realize, there have been many issues that we knew would occur.”

Harris then elicited roars from the viewers when she mentioned, “I’m not right here to say I instructed you so.”

The previous presidential candidate challenged the room of Black ladies to have “braveness” at a time within the nation when many reside in concern about what else is to come back within the subsequent 4 years below a Trump presidency.
