Authorities seize smuggling boats at Limpopo River during crackdown

In a significant crackdown on illicit commerce, the Zimbabwe Income Authority (ZIMRA), in collaboration with different border safety companies, intercepted and destroyed 21 smuggling boats and 20 paddles alongside the Limpopo River on Tuesday.

This river is a key route for smuggling operations between Zimbabwe and South Africa. Because of this, it has change into a hotspot for unlawful actions that undermine the economic system.

ZIMRA Utilising Superior Drone Surveillance

Leveraging superior drone surveillance expertise, ZIMRA recognized and dismantled smuggling networks working in distant areas. The drones, outfitted with evening imaginative and prescient and high-resolution cameras, supplied authorities with real-time intelligence, permitting for exact interventions.
