Haitian deportations criticized by Congressional Black Caucus

Congressional Black Caucus members are placing strain on the Biden-Harris administration to grant protections to Haitians fleeing to the U.S. amid the unrest within the Caribbean nation. 

U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., advised the AFRO the administration must cease deporting Haitians who’re in search of refuge within the U.S.

“To deport anybody to Haiti proper now could be nothing wanting a demise sentence. U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla., additionally weighed in.
