Pilot program will try gun scanners in subway system in effort to deter violence underground

NEW YORK (AP) — Metropolis officers introduced a pilot program on Thursday to deploy moveable gun scanners within the subway system, a part of an effort to discourage violence underground and to make the system really feel safer.
