Baltimore Preacher References GloRilla Lyrics During Sermon

Rev. Melech E. M. Thomas posted the sermon to his Instagram account and praised the rapper, who he known as a ‘new gospel artist.’

A Baltimore preacher used the phrases of rapper GloRilla to get some extent throughout in his message to his parishioners when he referenced the lyrics, “Every single day, the solar don’t shine, however that’s why I like tomorrow,” from her tune, “Tomorrow 2.” The tune was launched in 2022 as a remix with Cardi B and the third single on GloRilla’s EP, “Anyhow, Life’s Nice.”

GloRilla reposted that part of his sermon to her Instagram account and wrote, “Flip to yo neighbor & say Yeah Glo 🗣️🔥”

Payne Memorial AME Church’s Rev. Melech E. M. Thomas praised the lyrics of Gloria Hallelujah Woods, aka GloRilla, when he preached to his congregation about not giving up hope as a result of there’s an opportunity for issues to be higher tomorrow. He posted the sermon to his Instagram account and praised the rapper, who he known as a “new gospel artist.”

After mentioning GloRilla throughout the sermon, he inspired the viewers to heed what she mentioned within the tune.

“GloRilla has a tune referred to as ‘Tomorrow,’ and she or he makes this assertion that blesses me. She says, ‘Every single day the solar don’t shine however that’s why I like tomorrow,’ and I’m speaking to some those that life ain’t been the kindest to you however you perceive that what Massive Mama mentioned … ‘Weeping might endure for an evening however pleasure comes within the morning. [You understand] that day-after-day shouldn’t be good, however so long as I could make it to tomorrow, one thing can flip round.”

Rev. Thomas additionally identified the similarities between Black preachers and rappers and talked about how each influenced him. He states that the “content material, supply, stage presence, and, generally, even the message” are in the identical vein. He praised the Memphis rapper for placing out “affirming and inspirational lyrical content material.” He admits that her phrases make it into his sermons.

GloRilla reposted his video to her Instagram account.
