It’s wild that something popping out of right-wing America nonetheless surprises me, however I need to admit I didn’t have Krying Killer Kyle Rittenhouse and racist Republican recording artist Ted Nugent turning into the Bert and Ernie of MAGA Bigot Sesame Avenue was not on my 2023 bingo card.

To be truthful, I had utterly forgotten that Nugent was nonetheless alive. I legitimately thought he died and was cremated so Child Rock may rise from the ashes—however, apparently, that’s not the case.

Anyway, even supposing it’s been almost eight years since former President Barack Obama was America’s commander-in-chief, it seems that the forty fourth POTUS continues to be occupying the Oval Workplace in Nugent’s head rent-free.

Throughout an look on Actual America’s Voice with Kyle Rittenhouse, Nugent appeared to set off himself by bringing Obama up in a dialog that completely had nothing to do with him. The dynamic duo of unmitigated Caucasian idiocracy was discussing the latest indictment of Donald Trump, which Rittenhouse referred to as a “political persecution” that he can “relate” to as a result of he sees himself as a persecuted sufferer after being the one Krazed Kenosha Killer to take lives throughout civil unrest. (I’m fairly certain Rittenhouse also can relate to Trump as a result of Trump as soon as bragged that he may shoot somebody and get away with it, however no matter.)

This white tears-heavy dialogue about Trump, in some way, offered Nugent with the proper alternative to go off on a racist tangent about Barack, throughout which he implied that his spouse, former First Girl Michelle Obama, is definitely a person and the Obama kids are literally faux Obama kids—all whereas erroneously claiming that Barack Obama “actually reignited racism in America.”

“I went by way of this anti-justice system by the hands of Barack Obama…Barack Obama, you punk, you horrible, anti-American, communist, Islamic terrorist,” Nugent stated. “Boy, that’s going to go within the media. That’s what he was! He actually reignited racism in America. Thanks so much, Barack and your buddy Mike and your two faux daughters.”

Whew—there’s so much to unpack in such a quick show of conservative bigotry and ignorance.

First, there’s the apparent incontrovertible fact that simply after calling Barack, who is just not Muslim, an “Islamic terrorist” simply because he’s Black, Nugent accused Obama of reigniting racism. (Not that there’s something incorrect with being Muslim until you ask a racist bigot.) And, in fact, the truth that he continued the racist trope of characterizing Black ladies as masculine by way of his comment bout Michelle, who’s, in reality, not a person named “Mike.”

Nugent, like many conservatives, can’t even accuse somebody of being racist with out being racist.

However extra to the purpose—Obama “reignited racism in America” how? By current as a non-white president?

As a result of if you actually have a look at Obama’s eight-year presidency, he wasn’t actually all that radical by way of coverage or rhetoric. He didn’t generalize white folks. He wasn’t a loud and proud Black Lives Matter advocate. He actually acknowledged racism in America, however he wasn’t, by any measure, an extremist, and even somebody who clung to what white conservatives check with as “id politics.” For essentially the most half, all he did was be president whereas Black and that’s what “reignited racism.” (Really, “reignited” isn’t even the appropriate phrase. That’s like saying Black marriage ceremony receptions “reignited” the Electrical Slide.)

Did Obama “reignite” Nugent into calling him a “chimpanzee” and “subhuman mongrel?” When Nugent stated at a Glenn Beck rally in 2010, “There’s quite a lot of white folks right here—I like that,” was that Obama’s fault for summoning Nugent’s racism?

One may actually fill a Ted Nugent album with examples of Nugent’s racism, misogyny, common bigotry and ignorance—however, apparently, that was all brought on by the Black man with the Black household who used to reside on the White Home.

Thanks, Obama.
