Omid Djalili Sets Up Production Banner

Omid Djalili, the British-Iranian standup comic and actor who has appeared in movies similar to “Mamma Mia: Right here We Go Once more,” “Notting Hill” and “The Infidel,” has launched a brand new manufacturing firm alongside his household and exec producer Shahin Sobhani.

Tiny Speck Productions is about to deal with each scripted and unscripted comedies throughout movie, TV and podcasts, with a press release saying it “goals to discover society’s large questions by a hopeful lens.”

Becoming a member of Djalili at Tiny Speck are his members of the family Ara Devine, Isabella Djalili-Devine and Louis Djalili, who every have a decade of expertise within the movie and TV business.

“I’m thrilled to be asserting the formation of our new firm, Tiny Speck Productions. A small however joyful speck is showing on the horizon of drama, comedy, documentary, podcast and fairly probably a synchronised swimming crew,” Djalili stated in a press release. “My household and I’ve been working collectively for years, and we thought it could make sense to formalize it. I’ve all the time believed that after we are laughing our brains work higher — we see issues extra clearly and really feel higher in a position to deal with life’s tough questions. It’s one thing we want on the planet, now greater than ever.”

Sobhani, who produced movies together with “The Infidel” and “Steerage,” alongside a variety of documentaries and podcasts, joins Tiny Speck as an govt producer.

Tiny Speck Productions’s slate features a scripted campus comedy collection, a climate-related characteristic movie, podcasts and a characteristic documentary.

Djalili’s different credit embrace “Street to Bethlehem,” “His Darkish Supplies,” “Love Once more,” “The Nutcracker and the 4 Realms,” “Intercourse and the Metropolis 2,” Pirates of the Caribbean III: At World’s Finish,” “Spy Recreation” and “Gladiator.”
