Bavuma praised for ‘not doing a Graeme Smith’

Whereas many have hailed Temba Bavuma because the “worst Proteas captain in historical past,” a handful of cricket followers have praised his accountability in returning to South Africa post-World Cup. One sports activities commentator supplied an unpopular opinion that he had achieved one thing certainly one of his predecessors – Graeme Smith – couldn’t do.

The Radio 2000 presenter tweeted how he believed Bavuma had achieved greater than award-winning captain Graeme Smith.

 He posted: “A pacesetter of males. I’ll always remember Graeme Smith not coming again together with his workforce after the quarter-final exit in 2011. He determined to go to Eire to see his girlfriend. He averaged 26 in that World Cup”.

‘ITS A LEADERSHIP THING’

Mosoi is referring to studies that Graeme Smith travelled on to Eire from the 2011 Cricket World Cup, additionally held in India. In keeping with his personal admission, this was to go to his girlfriend on the time, Morgan Deane.

GRAEME SMITH GOES SILENT

In the meantime, Graeme Smith has remained mum on the Proteas loss on his social media accounts.
