Issa Rae On Winning and “Rap Sh*t” Season 2

Rap Sh*t is again for Season 2. Creator Issa Rae and showrunner Syreeta Singleton as soon as once more ship an elevated, inspiring, and poignantly humorous collection that celebrates Black ladies and numerous music.

The 2 govt producers opened up in regards to the new season and the way it dives into the complexities of the business as Shawna and Mia go deeper into this world as rising rap artists. Choosing up the place Season 1 left off, viewers will see the rap duo embark on their first tour and study the interior workings of staying true to themselves in an business filled with questionable energies.

“It’s actually about successful,” Issa tells BLACK ENTERPRISE of Season 2’s central theme. “I really feel like each character is available in and so they’re like decided to win.”

“There’s positively conversations about promoting out and at what prices are too excessive to compromise,” Issa says of the Season 2 plotline. “There’s been a dialog about authenticity that our characters have been having with their craft.”
