CMS to open calming rooms in 18 schools for mental health

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Faculties introduced plans on Monday to open “calming rooms” in 18 colleges throughout the county.  

The calming rooms are designed for use by college students and workers to enhance psychological well being.

The Faculty Well being Advisory Council (SHAC), an advisory group that gives recommendation for varsity well being applications, was awarded a $60,000 grant by way of the StrongSchoolsNC COVID-19 Testing Program to assist psychological, well-being and behavioral well being in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Faculties.
