Women’s lawsuit accuses Kansas City, Kansas, of allowing police discrimination to thrive for years

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — 5 girls who say they had been sexually assaulted or harassed by a former Kansas Metropolis, Kansas, detective filed a lawsuit Nov. 3 accusing the federal government of permitting police corruption to thrive for years.

The Kansas Metropolis Star studies that the federal lawsuit says the Unified Authorities of Wyandotte County and Kansas Metropolis, Kansas, allowed its officers to “terrorize, abuse and violate” Black residents by a sample of misconduct and assaults with out being disciplined or investigated.

The federal government declined to remark due to the pending litigation, and a lawyer for former Detective Roger Golubski informed the newspaper he couldn’t remark as a result of he hadn’t learn the lawsuit.

Golubski has been accused by federal prosecutors and civil rights teams of framing Black residents and sexually harassing Black girls and ladies for years in Kansas Metropolis, Kansas.

He’s at present on home arrest going through two federal indictments alleging he sexually assaulted and kidnapped a lady and a young person between 1998 and 2002, and that he was a part of a intercourse trafficking ring involving underage ladies in Kansas Metropolis, Kansas, between 1996 and 1998.

Golubski has pleaded not responsible to all prices. The following listening to within the prison circumstances is scheduled for Nov. 21, however no trial dates have been set.

4 of the 5 plaintiffs allege Golubski sexually assaulted or stalked them. One stated the detective raped her in 1992 within the again seat of his unmarked police automotive.

The lawsuit says that Golubski mocked one of many girls when she stated she was going to file a grievance in opposition to him. Based on the lawsuit, Golubski replied, “Report me to who, the police? I’m the police.”
