Gloria Gray Sworn In as Inglewood City Councilmember  – Los Angeles Sentinel

Gloria Grey has distinguished herself as a pacesetter in varied roles of public service. To have a good time a stellar run for Inglewood Metropolis Council District 1, Grey was sworn in Sunday, April 30,  by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, the primary Black girl to carry the highly effective workplace.

Grey’s swearing-in by Bass emphasised her place inside the constellation of Black ladies who’re in workplace to advocate for the unvoiced and underserved members of the group.

Inglewood Mayor James Butts was equally supportive of Grey, calling her “a really engaged resident” whom he has identified for 13 years.

 

“Councilwoman Grey is a long-time public servant,” mentioned Butts. “She served on the IUSD Faculty Board and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, most just lately as Chairwoman. She shall be a really efficient consultant for the residents of District 1,” he added.
