Kingsbridge Armory gets $200M for redevelopment

Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams introduced their mixed $200 million funding into the redevelopment for the historic and long-underutilized Kingsbridge Armory within the Bronx. The push to reimagine the area has been a community-led mission for many years that lacked funding.

The Kingsbridge Armory first opened again in 1917 for army use till 1994. Town has owned the landmarked constructing since 1996. It has just lately been used as a brief meals distribution middle through the COVID-19 pandemic and as storage for victims of the Twin Park North hearth.
