Why Kristina Forest’s ‘The Neighbor Favor’ should be your next beach romance read

She recollects studying Dessen’s books and pondering she needed to see comparable tales with major characters that resembled her and her pals. From the second Forest determined to pursue a profession in writing, that was her aim.

“For my complete profession, I’ve been writing about Black women and Black girls falling in love, and it’s what I do know,” she instructed theGrio. “I believe many people, particularly within the romance house, [are] simply specializing in creating tales to make individuals really feel good.”

Forest writes books impressed by her life and the lives of her pals. After writing three younger grownup romances, this yr, she ventured into grownup romance together with her newest launch, “The Neighbor Favor.” The e book, which debuted in February, follows the love story of two deeply introverted bookworms, Lily Greene and Nick Brown. 

“After they meet … they’re not at their greatest, however as they encourage one another to be higher and to need higher for themselves, they’re falling in love, they usually attempt to work on their communication,” Forest defined. “It’s a e book about two e book nerds who’re very introverted and have a connection, and it makes their lives higher.” 

Lily and Nick’s love story begins with passionate e mail exchanges and is highly effective sufficient to make anybody’s coronary heart flutter, replete with moments that may make the reader swoon, snicker and tear up. Whereas the story is centered on the couple’s budding romance, Forest hopes their story reveals readers that everybody deserves love.
