‘P-Valley’ Among Winners of 5th Annual AAFCA TV Honors

‘P-Valley’ forged

*The African American Movie Critics Affiliation (AAFCA) has introduced the winners of its fifth Annual TV Honors, recognizing excellent achievements in Broadcast Tv and Streaming with a particular emphasis on leisure representing the Black diaspora.

The AAFCA TV Honors is scheduled to be held at an invitation-only, in-person luncheon at Lodge Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, California, on August 27.  AAFCA is carefully monitoring the continuing strikes and can regulate the date of the AAFCA TV Honors accordingly, if essential.

Winners embody “P-Valley” from Starz for Finest TV Drama, Finest Ensemble and Finest TV Performing (Male) for J. Alphonse Nicholson and Nicco Annan, “Abbott Elementary” (ABC) for Finest TV Comedy and Finest TV Writing for sequence creator and star Quinta Brunson, Niecy Nash-Betts from “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” (Netflix) for Finest TV Performing (Feminine), Netflix’s “Mo” for Finest New Present, “The 1619 Venture” (Onyx Collective/Hulu) for Finest Documentary, Peacock’s “The Finest Man: The Remaining Chapters” for Finest Restricted Sequence and “Capturing Stars” for Finest TV Film, Jessica Williams from “Shrinking” (Apple TV+) for Breakout Star, and Mary Lou Belli, Debbie Allen, Tasha Smith, Henry Chan, and Jordan E. Cooper from the BET+ sequence for Finest TV Directing.

“AAFCA is proud to acknowledge the brightest abilities in tv,” acknowledged AAFCA co-founder and president Gil Robertson.  “With the leisure trade in flux as a result of strikes, these unimaginable abilities –from icons to breakouts –  nonetheless deserve recognition for his or her excellent contributions to the tv panorama. AAFCA is dedicated to celebrating all of our winners. Congratulations to all!.”

As beforehand introduced, AAFCA will bestow particular distinguished achievement honors to a number of recipients, together with Jennifer Hudson, who will obtain the We See You Award, Delroy Lindo, who will obtain the Legacy Award, and five-time Emmy® nominee Marla Gibbs who will obtain the Legend Award.  The Apple TV+ present “Ted Lasso” will obtain the Inclusion Award, and CBS’ “S.W.A.T.,” produced by Sony Photos Tv in affiliation with CBS Studios, will obtain the Impression Award.
