Teyana Taylor in Oscars Security Confrontation

*The 98th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 15, 2026, was an evening of dizzying highs and dramatic lows for multi-hyphenate star Teyana Taylor. Whereas her movie, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After One other,” dominated the ceremony with a staggering six wins, together with Greatest Image, Taylor discovered herself on the middle of a post-show controversy after a bodily altercation with a safety guard.

The safety agency, SIS, additionally responded, acknowledging the incident. In a press release to Leisure Weekly, they expressed remorse that the scenario escalated, attributing it to “incidental contact” throughout a crowded second. They admitted that the interplay “didn’t meet the requirements of professionalism we count on from our group” and that the matter had been addressed internally.

Later that night time, Taylor spoke with TMZ, downplaying the drama whereas standing her floor.

“Everyone’s having a very good time, and you recognize, safety was simply doing loads,” she stated. “I’m proud, I’m completely happy… on the finish of the day, I simply don’t tolerate disrespect — particularly when it’s unwarranted and unprovoked.”
