Cathay Pacific applies to up flight frequency
Cathay Pacific will likely be making its grand re-entrance to South African skies subsequent month, beginning 2 August and flying Hong Kong to Johannesburg thrice per week.

Along with the Johannesburg service, Cathay Pacific can be hoping to launch three weekly flights to Cape City on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in addition to one weekly flight to Durban on Saturdays.

Present schedule for August 2023
Beginning 2 August 2023, the airline will run three continuous weekly flights between South Africa and Hong Kong, with a flight schedule as follows:
On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, CX748 will depart Johannesburg at 11:20, with arrival in Hong Kong at 6:00 the next morning.
CX749 departs Hong Kong at 00:40 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Johannesburg at 07:35.

Based on Journey Information, flights will likely be on an Airbus A350-900, configured in a 3 cabin-class format with 280 seats, comprising 38 in enterprise class, 28 in premium economic system and 214 in economic system class.
The airline has stated that every cabin class on the A350-900 offers a complete new expertise for passengers, with extra-wide cabins with model new seats, a state-of-the-art inflight leisure system and inflight connectivity, in addition to added consolation, comfort and leisure options.
