22 Young Graduates in Atlanta Step into Bright Futures

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens recommended the graduates for his or her resilience and dedication in overcoming challenges.

Practically two dozen younger people are celebrating a major milestone as they graduate from a transformative program aimed toward propelling them in direction of profitable careers, WSBTV report. Held on the At-Promise Middle in southwest Atlanta, the March 28 commencement ceremony, witnessed the end result of months of arduous work and dedication. There have been some 22 graduates of the middle’s workforce growth program, who had been greeted and congratulated by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens.

Talking on the ceremony, Mayor Dickens recommended the graduates for his or her resilience and dedication in overcoming challenges to carve out their very own paths to success.

“You have got needed to be resilient, you needed to be robust, and also you needed to be decided, and also you met your challenges and lived to inform your individual story,” Mayor Dickens remarked, acknowledging the journey undertaken by every graduate.

Members additionally obtained invaluable classes on monetary administration and interpersonal relationships, making certain they had been well-rounded in each their private {and professional} lives.

The workforce growth program, a collaboration between the Atlanta Police Basis and City League, spanned three months and offered members aged 16 to 24 with complete skilled and vocational coaching. From mock interviews to renew constructing, this system geared up them with important expertise to navigate the complexities of the job market.

“The funding you’ll make in them does far more than simply change their lives. It actually helps to form our complete neighborhood and our metropolis,” Mayor Dickens remarked, underscoring the collective duty to help and uplift the subsequent technology of leaders and professionals.

Whereas the At-Work Program is at present supplied at solely one of many metropolis’s three At-Promise Facilities, there are plans for growth.
