The Let Freedom Ring recipients embrace Decide Greg Mathis and “Large Sean,” who might be honored with the Hold Hope Alive Award; Bishop John Drew Sheard, presiding bishop of 6 million COGIC members, will obtain the Theological Management Award; and Maha Freij, president and CEO of ACCESS and Amy Nederlander, co-founder of L!fe Leaders, will obtain the Social Service Award.

Ivery, “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin, Congressman John Conyers, Detroit Information Writer Jonathan Wolman, KEM, Blake Corum and others. Dr. Martin Luther King Excessive College Dance Workshop and Cass Technical Excessive College Ensembles will present the items of dance and music respectively. Errol Service Jr., will present an inventive tribute to Harry Belafonte.
